USEFUL RESOURCES

An independent registered charity offering a free service of emotional support and practical help from trained and supported volunteers. The service is for adults and their carers living in every Surrey borough and facing the challenges of life-limiting conditions including cancer.
Through the benefits we offer we aim to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of those with cancer from diagnosis onwards, inspiring them to embrace the things they can do and to refuse to be defined by what they can’t whilst also giving support to those close to them.
In 1967 the 'Harry Edwards Spiritual Healing Sanctuary received charitable status as a centre for spiritual healing whilst providing the addition of hotel accommodation and conference facilities.
Founded as a local support group in 2009 ToC became a fundraiser for the immunotherapy research being conducted in Guildford. The charity provides a support group in Guildford, ToC Fit exercise classes and ToC Voices choir, which all welcome anyone with a cancer experience.
The national charity providing advice and online support whilst campaigning and representing patients' interests at government and a global level. Macmillan also offers grants to local organisations such as our own Cancer Chat Cafe to enable us to provide and develop our support services.
A small independent cancer charity located on Level B within St Luke's Cancer Centre at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. Our aim is to provide holistic and emotional support, information and signposting, both online and face to face, to as many people as possible.

The Butterfly Centre

Offers support to patients with cancer and their relatives, in a friendly, relaxing environment within Epsom Hospital. The centre provides information, emotional support, the HOPE (Help with overcoming problems effectively) course to help people who have cancer to get on with their lives, complementary therapies, relaxation and confidential counselling. We also offer an image workshop which aims to give patients tips on clothing styles that suit, shopping tips, make-up tips, etc to help them gain confidence when they need it most. We have professional staff and experienced volunteers available to support people affected by cancer.
